The Miele CM6350 and the Jura S8 are able to make single servings and double servings.
Settings
There is an amazing number of programmable settings with the Miele CM6350 and the Jura S8 including the water levels, coffee strength and temperature. With the Miele CM6350, you can save 4 different user profiles. The Jura S8 will let you save settings, but it doesn’t say how many.
Maintenance Cycle
For easy cleaning and consistent brew quality, the Miele CM6350 and the Jura S8 have maintenance cycles to clean the systems.
Capacity
While not exactly the same, the capacity of the Miele CM6350 and the Jura S8 is very similar, and both can brew up to 8 cups and the bean containers can hold up to 0.6 pounds. The water reservoir of the Miele CM6350 has a 7.5 cp capacity and the Jura 8 8 cups. The biggest difference is in the grounds container capacity with the Miele CM6350 holding 10 portions and the Jura S8 holding 16, but this wasn’t enough to influence our decision.

Appearance
We liked the similar compact size of the two coffee machines, but one is far better looking.
Miele CM6350
This measures 10 x 14.12 x 16.75 inches and weighs 22 pounds. You can choose from lotus white, graphite gray and obsidian black.
Jura S8
It is slightly larger at 11 x 13.7 x 17.5 inches and weighs 22.1 pounds. The color options are chrome or midnight silver, both with black features. This coffee machine has a much sleeker and more modern design.

Dispenser Height
The height of the dispenser determines the size of the cup you can use.
Miele CM6350
The height is adjustable from 3.12 to 5.5 inches.
Jura S8
The coffee dispenser can be adjusted from 2.8 to 4.6 inches. The cappuccino spout can be adjusted from 4.4 to 6.2 inches.

Brewing Specialties
Both of the coffee machines can make anything from regular coffee to coffee house specials.
Miele CM6350
You can make single and double servings of coffee, espresso, long coffee, ristretto cappuccino, latté macchiato, and café latté. You can also heat milk, froth milk and there is a separate hot water dispenser.
Jura S8
This coffee machine can brew all of the above as well as a macchiato and flat white but not the long coffee. It can only make double servings of coffee, ristretto and espresso. It can make hot milk, milk foam, hot water and hot water for green tea.

It’s quite handy to have a built-in cup warmer. Plus, it comes with a stainless-steel milk flask.
Jura S8
It has a unique Pulse Extraction Process for the optimum extraction time. The fine foam frother also creates an excellent light texture with milk.

Pros:

- It’s a heavy-duty coffee machine
Cons:
- The plastic drip tray could be stronger
Jura S8
Pros:
- The touchscreen shows animated steps of the brewing process
- So many settings for each element of the coffee
- Barista quality coffee every time
Cons:
- It can be a little bit high maintenance
The Final Verdict
This is a very hard choice because both of the coffee machines make excellent coffee as well as a ton of other hot drinks. There is a significant difference in the price with the Jura S8 coming in at approximately $400 more. That being said, if you are going to spend over two grand on a coffee machine, you may as well go all out! We felt that the Jura S8 was the better option and that the quality of the coffee, the stunning design and the ease of use made it worth the extra cost.
