Warranty

Purchasing either of these vacuums will provide you with a two-year-long warranty. It is certain to offer proper value for money in this span of time.

Cordless

Probably the most functionally important aspect that these vacuums share. Allows you to vacuum any room or surface without the hassle of changing sockets. Your reach will not be limited and whenever you feel like cleaning you can simply flip it on.

Upright design

Despite fitting neatly into our usual Appearance category, this design aspect should be noted separately as it is very useful for those with back pain or any form of motor issues. Allowing you to vacuum without much bending over or other plausibly uncomfortable movements.

Battery type

Both of these models utilize lithium-ion batteries, making sure you will utilize the whole charge before plugging in the charger.

Handheld option

If the vacuums’ rod gets in the way of some corners or nooks you can remove it and convert this vacuum into handheld mode. This is also useful for vacuuming under some furniture.

Our first entrant can achieve 30 minutes of vacuuming power on a single charge, going down to 6 minutes with the MAX option which is still useful for those persistent surfaces.

Dyson V6

Cutting the runtime down to 20min and its MAX mode to around 3 minutes leaves V6 a decent number of minutes short of providing good impact in this category.

Design is made out of three key points. The head of the vacuum, wand, and handle also contains the containment canister. This simple design allows for easy assembly and disassembly, as well as simple emptying of the canister. Keep in mind that in order to keep this device running you have to keep your finger on the trigger. Which lets you keep it on or turn it off without bending over, contributing to the aforementioned upright design.  Adding to ease of use is the lightweight nature of this vacuum. While the canister itself is not that big it can be quickly emptied. Root Cyclone technology Dyson utilizes here will make sure you don’t lose any power while vacuuming. A nice addition is how silent DC 35 is, making it less obnoxious.

Dyson V6

Ergonomic design that is inherent to Dyson V and DC lines is present here as well. Offering great maneuverability and ease of use, no matter your age or physical state. Stiff nylon bristles remove ground and dirt from your carpets, especially useful if you’ve pets who constantly run-in with their dirty paws. The bristles are aligned over the full width of the head offering edge to edge cleaning. Dyson V6 maintains the lightweight nature of DC35, providing the same maneuverability with better hard materials collection.

THE FINAL VERDICT

This showdown came down to a wire especially with our contenders proving their strengths in different categories. Battery duration went to DC 35, suction power to V6, and so on. However, it is important to keep in mind that some strengths of V6 are rendered less fruitful due to its weaknesses or simple additions to DC 35. For example, while base DC 35 doesn’t have bristles to assist with ground and dirt you can buy an attachment that solves that issue. The lower end power is also compensated by the fact that V6 can’t maintain 100 air watts for long so even with DC 35’s MAX mode providing weaker suction it will end up sucking up more in the long run. Sharing design, washable filters, cordless function, and few others aspects do make both a valuable pick though if you aren’t frequently faced with extremely hard to remove material in your carpets or exclusively hard surfaces DC 35 will provide more bang for its buck, although the bucks you give will be slightly higher.

Dyson DC 35 takes the win in this showdown, allowing you to comfortably do your chores while providing the ability to vacuum both floor and walls without the hassle of cords.
