Pros:

The Final Verdict

The Porter Cable 7346SP and the Porter Cable 7424XP are practically the same machines. In terms of their use, they are both nicely balanced and can be used with or without the side handle, whichever is more comfortable for you. The results with both sander/polishers are pretty awesome. People have really been able to see the difference in small scratches and little rock chips. The final polish is pristine. The disadvantage of both is also the same. The polishing pad is not the best quality and has a habit of falling apart.

For today’s winner, we felt the Porter Cable 7424XP was the better orbit sander/polisher. Essentially it is the same tool but just for a slightly better price.
