The Final Verdict

There is a clear winner today, however, that’s not to say that they aren’t both excellent generators. We felt that the Generac GP2200i was better. You have additional run time with a larger fuel tank capacity, a higher AC rated output and more outlets to use. The design was better too. Not only does it look nicer, but the covered outlets bring more peace of mind. The Generac iQ2000 has a better display but it wasn’t enough to encourage us to pay extra money—in some cases, as much as $100!
