Echo is an outstanding brand for garden equipment and there is no doubt about the durability of the Echo SRM 230 and the Echo SRM 225. It is highly recommended that you take good care of these strimmer/brush cutters in terms of maintenance to make sure they remain in top condition. And you should read the safety instructions too.
There were some things that were very similar like the appearance and the weight is the same. They are both easy to use and quite comfortable, even after a while. Despite the similarities, the overall winner is the Echo SRM 225. It was a little more reliable on the startup and often on with fewer pulls. We also found that it was a little better at cutting through some of the tougher weeds, brush and saplings. The Echo SRM 225 is an excellent machine at great value for money.
