The Final Verdict

The first thing to remember is that the DeLonghi KG79 and the DeLonghi KG89, like all-electric coffee grinders, do create a little bit of static and this can create dust. Some people spray the coffee beans with a bit of water or add a drop of water before grinding. This will help reduce the mess, but this is not a problem with the DeLonghi coffee grinders.

Today, we felt that the DeLonghi KG89 was the better coffee grinder. Realistically, there was no difference in their ability to grind coffee. They are both incredibly easy to use and do exactly what they are supposed to. We liked the stainless-steel finish; it fits in nicely with other kitchen appliances. At the moment, the DeLonghi KG89 is quite a bit cheaper, even as much as $70 cheaper. For this reason, it looks great, and it’s much better value for money.
