The Jabra Talk 45 and the Jabra Talk 55 can be used to make perfectly clear high-definition calls. You can also use them to listen to your GPS directions and to stream music and podcasts.
Sound Quality
On the one hand, you have a premium- music-grade speaker in each of the headsets. The Jabra Talk 45 and the Jabra Talk 55 also come with a dual microphone with noise cancellation. This automatically adjusts the level of the volume depending on the background noise. The Jabra Talk 45 has a frequency range of 200Hz to 8KHz and the Jabra Talk 55 from 100Hz to 8KHz. But there wasn’t a noticeable difference to impact the decision.
Connectivity and Range
You can connect the Jabra Talk 45 and the Jabra Talk 55 via Bluetooth or Near Field Communication (NFC). They both have an excellent range of 98 feet.
Jabra Assist App
You can download the Jabra Assist App for both the Jabra Talk 45 and the Jabra Talk 55. This app allows you to extend the use of the headsets by personalizing your notifications such as readout emails, messages, and calendars. You can also use the locate my headset feature.

It is black with a metallic front and a transparent ear loop. It measures 4.19 x 1.28 x 6.94 inches and weighs 0.25 ounces.
Jabra Talk 55
The headset is black and gray. There is no ear loop as it fits inside the ear. For this reason, it is also much smaller at 1.92 x 0.69 x 0.95 inches and weighs just 0.19 ounces.

Controls
There is a combination of buttons you can use, or you can use your voice to activate features.
Jabra Talk 45
On the headset, you will find an answer/end call button and a mute button. There is also an integrated button for Siri and Google Assistant. You can use the headset with voice controls to access emails and other features.
Jabra Talk 55
The voice controls are the same but there are no buttons. Instead, you tap the headset to answer and end calls and activate Siri or Google Assistant.

The battery life will depend on your phone and its uses. They both take around 2 hours to fully charge.
Jabra Talk 45
You can use this Bluetooth headset for up to 6 hours on a full charge. On standby, it will last for up to 8 days.
Jabra Talk 55
On a full charge, it will only last up to 3 hours. However, if you use it with the carrying case, it is up to 10 hours. On standby, it will the battery will last for up to 7 days.

The Final Verdict
It was a tough call today. Certain features will depend on the user’s preferences. This is certainly true about whether you prefer headsets with an ear loop, in which case it’s the Jabra Talk 45, or without, and then it’s the Jabra Talk 55. Some people prefer to tap for the controls and others find this too sensitive. When you take out the personal design choices, we decided that the Jabra Talk 45 was the better buy. The sound quality is just as good as the Jabra Talk 55. It’s true that neither battery life was as good as it should be but the Jabra Talk 55 was definitely too short. You can also save yourself around $30-$40 with the Jabra Talk 45.
